Welcome to the Town of Westfield!
The Town of Westfield is located in Marquette County, Wisconsin and is bordered by four (4) other townships—Springfield on the north, Harris on the east; Oxford on the south; and New Chester in Adams County on the west. Interstate 39 is Westfield's primary link to the state's transportation network. The north-south connection with Interstate 39 is complemented by nearby east-west linkage with state highways 21, 23 and 82. The latest census information indicates a current population of 780 representing a 36.6% population increase over the past 10+ years. The unincorporated community of Lawrence is also located in the Town.
Town of Westfield residents enjoy scenic surroundings and is home to Lawrence Lake, a 225 acre impoundment of Lawrence Creek, a Class 1 Trout stream. Perch, crappies, walleyes, bluegills and northern pike are abundant. Public boat launches afford people the opportunity to canoe, kayak, and paddleboard. This is a “no wake” lake and is governed by Town/Lake Ordinance.
There are plenty of outdoor activities in the area besides fishing, including hunting (deer, turkey), hiking, biking, cross country skiing, snowmobiling, ATV/UTV routes, outdoor photography and being able to enjoy nature in the outdoors. The Town features numerous private and corporate farms and has a very strong agricultural base. We are also home to the Marquette County Fair – an annual event held in July of every year. Thal Acres Golf and Bowling Complex has been based in the Town for the past 60 years and boasts an 18 hole public golf course. The Bowling Complex offers open bowling and leagues.
Our proximity to the Village of Westfield features direct access to Schools, a Post Office, Banks, Shopping, Churches of multiple denominations, Drinking Establishments and Restaurants, Gas Stations, an Ice Cream Shoppe, Auto Supply and Repair Shops, a Flea Market, and Westfield’s Pioneer Memorial Park. The area has become a hot spot for travelers who stop for fuel, shopping, something to eat or just to stretch their legs out during a longer trip through Wisconsin.
